Crown lifting

Crown lifting

Crown Lifting is the process of removing lower limbs of the tree to allow sunlight to filter beneath and maintain a legal safe height over footpaths and roads

Crown lifting is a great way of utilising space beneath trees in small gardens and also to maintain a balanced crown.

Crown lifting is generally carried out when lower limbs of trees are causing an obstruction to footpaths and roads and in a lot of cases to allow more light to pass beneath the tree.

It helps to balance out the crown and make it more aesthetically pleasing.
